Terms and Conditions
By enrolling yourself or another person in any of our classes, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
1. General Governance and Amendments
Agreement: Completing registration for any course constitutes full acceptance of these terms.
Updates: The Clay Lounge (TCL) reserves the right to modify or update these terms at any time.
Discontinuation of Tuition: TCL retains the right to terminate the enrollment of any student if the Directors deem their behavior or conduct unsuitable for the course environment.
2. Course Cancellation and Refunds
TCL Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel a course if minimum enrollment numbers are not met, or due to circumstances beyond our control. Should TCL cancel a course, a full refund will be automatically issued.
Instructor Changes: TCL may change the advertised tutor for a course and replace them with another qualified instructor without prior notice or refunding course fees.
Student Withdrawal Policy:
If a student notifies us of cancellation two weeks (14 days) or more before the course start date, they will receive a full refund.
If a student cancels within two weeks (but more than 7 days) of the course start date, a 50% refund will be issued.
If a student cancels within 7 days of the course start date, no refund will be provided.
3. Attendance and Health
Absences: If you are unable to attend a class, workshop, or event, please notify us immediately via email.
Illness: If you have been unwell, you must not attend the class. We appreciate this consideration to prevent the spread of illness to other participants and staff.
Missed Classes: We do not offer make-up classes or issue refunds for any sessions a student misses due to personal reasons.
4. Storage and Property
Storage of Work: Each class is allocated a designated shelf area for storing current clay projects only during the term.
No Personal Storage: We do not provide storage for students' personal tools or unused clay at the Centre.
Unclaimed Artwork: Due to severe storage limitations, any artwork unclaimed after the term ends will be kept for a maximum of one month, after which it cannot be kept and will be discarded.
Personal Property Liability: TCL is not responsible for any personal items you or your attendees bring onto the premises, and we are not liable for any loss or damage to such property.
