About Me
My name is Ara Bosch, and I am a ceramic artist from Spain. I run the new ceramic studio at the Community Centre in Whangaparaoa, called The Clay Lounge.
My journey with ceramics began over 24 years ago in London, where I immersed myself in the world of clay and creativity. Then, my family and I moved to Alicante, Spain, where I continued to deepen my knowledge and skills in Spanish ceramics. In 2014, we relocated to Auckland, where I further pursued my passion for ceramics, attending numerous classes at different studios across the city. In 2021, I earned a Diploma in Arts and Design (Level 5) from the Otago Polytechnic in Dunedin. From there I began teaching ceramics in studios on the North Shore of Auckland.
This new phase at the Whangaparaoa Community Hall is a unique opportunity for me to continue teaching pottery. I am excited to embark on this new adventure, taking over this amazing studio in Whangaparaoa.
I believe in a creative and respectful learning environment, where students can explore their creativity at their own pace. I look forward to welcoming you to my classes and embarking on a journey full of clay and creativity together! My goal is to share my passion for ceramics with you and offer exciting and enriching classes.
